Mom arrived on tuesday and all was great in the King house. We hung out and played some cards. Wednesday evening i took my frosty/castor oil shake. Came home and relaxed on the birthing ball. Thad arrived home about 6 and we hung out for a little while and then i noticed contractions about 4 mins apart. Not really painful ones but they were getting closer. Left the house arrived to hospital about 10 ish. Within 15 mins my water broke as they were observing me. The midwife was very excited as were we. Got to the room and as they were getting stronger i grew tired..after about 12 hrs of laboring on my own the midwife checked me and i was still only dilated to a 1~ Very frustrated i asked for some pitocen. Which made my contractions super strong and i grew very tired... after the 18th hr she checked me and i was only at a 3 or 4.....Very discourageing... I gave in and recieved an epideral.. the first one didnt work and hurt so they took it out and put it up higher..Pumped me full of pitocen .I tried to rest as much as i could. The baby's heart rate was dropping after contractions so we had a room full of whispering dr's and midwifes....They gave me oxygen to help him..It was scary.They said he was doing better and left us alone. After about 2hrs i felt like i was goign to puke. Thad went off and grabbed me some popsicles. That didnt help...The midwife came in and checked me. She said" are you ready to have this baby?? Your at a 10!!" I cried and felt so relieved and so excited to push this boy out and meet him!!I pushed for 30 mins and then Owen Finnegan King was born!! 6:39 pm. Just 21 mins shy of 24hrs of labor!!! Owen was pretty bruised which turned into him being pretty jaundice. We had to stay an extra 12 hrs with him under the lights and had to return back to the hospital for the next 3 days. He finally dropped a point so we are all looking good. He 's doing great at home. Loving his sisters who have totally been awsome with him.
